mID is a free application for those who want to manage their certificates and sign documents. In a first phase you will be able to use the remote certificates issued by Multicert to sign pdf documents stored on your Android or IOS phone.

MULTICERT garanties the confidentiality of all data provided. Although MULTICERT collects and processes data securely and prevents its loss or manipulation, using the most appropriate techniques for this purpose, it should be held out that the collection of data on open networks allows the movement of personal data without absolute security conditions, and there is a risk that it will be seen and used by unauthorized third parties.
How to define an Access code to mID
mID app is protected with a PIN code.
All user must define a access PIN code with 6 digits.
This PIN will be requested when you autheticate in the APP.
Depending on the device you can have other authentication methods as Face ID or Touch ID.
Acessing to your Multicert's Client Account
To use the Multicert ID application, you need to have a Multicert Client Account. If you do not have a Multicert Account, see how to create one.

Access to the client account is composed of the user's email (indicated in the request for your certificate) and the password (defined when activating the client account).
Upon entering your Account, you will be asked to create a digital version of your identification document in the app.
If you choose to do so, you will be asked to perform identity verification through Chave móvel Digital (CMD) and Image Capture (Liveness), and your Citizen Card will be available on the app.
Creating a Multicert Account
To create a Multicert Account, start by defining the email and access password. The password must contain at least 8 characters and at least one letter, one number, and one symbol.
Next, you will receive an email at the provided address where you should click on the link to validate the email address. Upon validation, the message "Email validated successfully" will appear.
After email verification, you can access by clicking Continue in the MulticertID app.
Then, you will need to verify your phone number by Confirming the phone number associated with your Multicert Account.
The identity confirmation occurs in two stages, first through the Chave Móvel Digital (CMD) identity method, and then through Image Capture (Liveness).
Next, the images and data are analyzed, and the identity is confirmed.

By completing these steps, you can create your Personal Certificate.
Identity confirmation with Chave Móvel Digital (CMD)
The available identity verification method is the Chave Móvel Digital (CMD) verfication method, and soon the verification with Citizen Card and Passport will be available. By clicking Continue, you are authorizing Multicert to access your personal data, including your biometric data.
You should authenticate by selecting the desired authentication method and then authorize the data that Multicert will collect.
Next, enter your phone number associated with the Chave Móvel Digital (CMD) and the 6-digit PIN code. A security code (OTP) will be sent to you, which you should enter and click Continue. Finally, confirm the data that will be passed to the MulticertID app by clicking Confirm.
Recovering Multicert's Account password
To recover your password, simply click on Forgot password.
Enter the email of the Client Account, and you will receive an email with a link to set a new password.
Multicert's Client Account phone confirmation
Multicert's Client Account has mobile phone number associated.
To ensure your security, the mID app can only be installed on the mobile phone where the phone number is registered.
The mID app sends an OTP code to your phone that is automatically found. The placement of this code is not manual.
For the automatic collection of SMS-sent codes, we suggest that you check to see if you have the auto-fill permissions for active passwords in your phone settings.
Identity confirmation with your Citizen Card
Your security comes first.
For this reason, Multicert ID needs to perform additional checks to confirm that the mobile phone user is indeed the holder of the Multicert account.
These checks will allow maximum security and a distinctive user experience.
This identity validation consists of collecting an image of your Citizen Card to verify the identity of the mobile phone user, confirming that they are the holder of the Multicert account and also the holder of the presented card. For this confirmation, you will need to film your face as requested in the following steps.
Image Capture (Liveness)
To confirm your identity, we need to capture a video of your face, requiring authorization to access your mobile phone's camera.
Film your face, staying within the limits and following the instructions that appear on your mobile phone.
Multicert remote certificates registration on mID
To use the remote certificates from your Multicert client account in the Multicert ID application, you need to activate them.
To activate your certificates in the app, you need to access their details and proceed according to the instructions presented.
First, select the certificates to register/activate.
Enter the PIN for your Certificate, this PIN was sent to you by SMS when your certificate was issued.
Enter the OTP code.

How to Create my Personal Certificate
To create your Personal Certificate, you need to Access your Multicert Account and have created the virtual Citizen Card in the app or Create your Multicert Account. After creating your Multicert Account, by clicking on Create personal certificate, the MulticertID app will use the collected data to create your Certificate.
Before you can use your certificate, you need to sign the Issuance Agreement (see how to sign a document using mID) and enter the PIN code of your certificate received by SMS.
How to Activate my personal certificate
To Activate your personal certificate, you need to enter the PIN you received by SMS on your mobile phone. After entering the PIN, a security code (OTP) will be sent to your mobile phone.
If you are activating after 24 hours from the creation of your personal certificate, you will be asked to perform Image Capture (Liveness) again. If you perform it within 24 hours after issuance, it will not be necessary to repeat the Image Capture, and the process will take a few seconds.

How to sign a PDF document using mID
The Multicert ID application allows you to sign PDF documents accessible on your mobile phone.
For efficiency and performance reasons, the use of Multicert ID depends on the capacity of your mobile device, and there may be restrictions on signing documents with large dimensions (several MB).
HOW TO SIGN STEP BY STEP
- Select the document(s) to sign.
- Review the content of the documents and where you want to apply the signature.
- Choose which certificate to use to sign the selected document(s).
- Execute the signature.
- Subsequently, you will be asked for authentication to confirm the signature.
Start a signature through an external application
Through the applications currently installed and working with PDF documents, you can request to sign the document directly from that application.
How to recover the access PIN to the Multicert ID application
For security reasons, the Multicert ID application never stores PIN information, so its recovery is not possible. The alternative is to reinstall the application.
If you reach the limit of attempts to enter, your data will be automatically deleted, and you can start a new configuration process
